Northwest Nazarene University 2007

This year's NNU team was very busy! They completed 2 chapels and still had time to wash and cut hair of the many children and adults that lined up(picture 1).

While some students were cutting hair, others worked on the building of the chapel and still others shared the message of Jesus with the Evang-a-cube (Picture 2 shows students practicing!).

Pictures 3 and 4 are of the location of the portable chapel. They are taken from the corner, first looking left down the street the gray building is the portable chapel. Then if you turn around to the right you see the Sambil Mall, one of the biggest malls in Venezuela . The short walk from the mall to the 'invasion area' is not enough to prepare you for the worlds of difference you will find.

The Church is made up of mostly children from the surrounding area. It is actually a mission of the Maracaibo First Church. The Pastors Helena and Rosber Lopez are very involved in the community.

We want to thank University Chaplain, Gene Schandorff and Bio-Chem Professor, Dr. Jennifer Chase for bringing students: Ian Bauder, Laura Bodenstab, Zach Carpenter, Megan Grant, Ashley Jones, Jeremy Klingensmith, David Laird, Kevin Lambert, Landon Loeber, Mandy Miller, Molly Orias, Abby Rock, Tanya Troost, Kylee Vienna, Brandon Wickstrom, and Lacey Young.

They accomplished a lot, both in what they built physically and spiritually!
