I´m Moving!
I know this will come as a shock to most if not all of you but I am moving to Quito, Ecuador. The missionaries I have been assigned to for the last seven years, Craig and Gail Zickefoose are leaving the field and I’ve been invited to work with the NILI program. It has been an amazing seven year journey and I will admit it is not easy leaving Venezuela. The people here are dear to me and as I leave I don’t know if I will ever see them again. It is different than leaving home I know I will always go back home again. What I don’t know is if I will ever be able to return to my Venezuelan home!
So what is NILI anyway?
Nazarene International Language Institute—
NILI is a language program that instead of a traditional family home stay the students are paired with a Latin roommate. This is where I come in. I am going to be the Director of Student Life. My job will be to serve as a bridge between the North American college students and the Latin Seminary students. For more information about NILI click on more pictures.
NILI is located on the grounds of the Nazarene Seminary in Quito, Ecuador (see picture on more pictures page.)
I feel like God has been preparing me for this job. I have six years experience in Residential life in two different universities, and I now have seven years living cross culturally. I also for quite a while have felt that someday my ministry would eventually involve college age students, in some kind of mentoring relationship. This volunteer position has all of those!
I'll see you SOON!
I’ll be home July 13– August 11th. I will be home to repack and move to Ecuador. I hope to see as many of you as I can! My family and I are also getting to go on a family vacation to Victoria, Canada. My parents spent their honeymoon there 42 years ago. It will be a fun time for all of us! See you in July!
Good News/ Bad News
My new computer arrived and it is wonderful! God is so good to me to provide what I need. The other part of the good news is that the technician was able to recover most all of my information on the old computer. The bad news… I lost ALL of my email addresses. So, if you would like to receive emails from me please put your name and email on the list located on the missions bulletin board. You can also sign up to get this blog page in your email inbox follow the steps to the right of your screen.

Prayer Requests
-As always we have a busy schedule. I would appreciate your prayers for us as we travel and that God would be our strength.
-There are a lot of details that need to be taken care of in getting my visa to live in Ecuador, in packing up my stuff, and especially saying good bye to my dear friends and family here in Venezuela.
-That God would go before me!!
